METALLICA LOAD

Surreal, desert, stuffy and twisted climate.

Narcotic, sleepy, pushed to the limit...

An alternative pseudo post glam blues with an unusual touch of serious western rock ... Yes, it's Metallica

A surprising album. A complete album. An album that has overtaken its time...

Tracks that no one expected or rather, no one was ready then...

Vocal masterpiece, production mount everest, best solo parts of Kirk Hammett and great bass of Jason Newsted. Poisonous, biting rhythmic parts of Hetfield, finally Lars and his heavy, rolling drums...

Load is a very artistic album, in this view it is Metallica's peak achievement. Unusually fresh, ambitious, full of images material that hypnotizes and gives birth to all kind of fantasies...

How much magic there. All these soundscapes, blurred backgrounds, musical flavors. Twisted, vocal harmonies...

Arrangments, tension, space, second and even third plan. An amazing mix that discovers years...

I must admit that I rarely have to defend an album as often and as much as LOAD.

I do not know why so many people did not love this album - showing their ignorance, and in the extreme case even stupidity.

Metallica has never been a band that tries to eat its own tail, at least not during the period  of working on LOAD/RELOAD albums...

Holding with them, you must not be a prisoner of one style, one sound, one pattern.

Metalliica is progress. This is a band that is searching. A band who tries to escape from what they have created before ... Why, for hygiene, for freshness, for musical vitality.

After the black album, the ground was burned.

The pressure was enormous ... The eyes of the whole world nervously looked first towards San Francisco, then towards Los Angeles, where the band worked on the successor of their Opus Magnum in the well-known Power Plant Studio Complex.

It's a mosaic. A world made up by years of fast life against the tide.

There is a longing here, there is helplessness, there is a fight ... Dreams, deamons, nightmares ... Spirits of the past, unhealed opening wounds...

There is Anger. Full of anger ... There is sarcasm ... There is humanity. All this in the vapors of some strange half-occult atmosphere ... Which does not appear any more on any other album of the band.

Which has not appeared on any other album of the band.

Another testimony of Hetfield's musical genius. His most personal diary then. His and their transformation...

Hetfield begin to fight for himself on this album.. Looking through himself...

Bleeding me is one of those songs

Alice In chains on steroids? More twisted, even darker, more sombre? More helpless?

Metallica was looking for a prescription not for longevity, but for a further life ...
They needed and wanted changes. They did it and thank them for it.

Time has shown that it was the best possible direction. The direction that allowed them, that freed them from the burden that lurked around the closest corner...

Load is a consistent travel. A journey through a world full of sharp colors under the sign of LSD.

If you have not heard it yet. If you have not planned to listen to it, Even if you do not like Metallica at all, Give yourself a pleasure. Wear good headphones, turn off the light. take a deep breath and let yourself be carried away ... Let the real music speak...
